Since the 6th Century till the Present
It seems that acne does not represent a disease of the modern man, as it has been first mentioned centuries ago by the physician of the emperor Justinian I. In fact Aetius Amidenus used for the first time the term of “acne” in stead of “acme” when referring to this type of skin eruptions; this represents the origin of the modern word “acne”.
But what is in fact this annoying disorder that brings so much physical but especially psychical suffering to us? Are there people most likely to suffer from it than others?
Scientists call acne one of the most irritating disorders: it could not be called a risky disease, but it may be painful and the scars that people suffering from acne get could be permanent. This way, acne could be a serious reason of depression and sadness.
The researches estimate that about 90 % of the tees, 50 % of the adult females and 25 % of people have experienced this disease. It is even possible to start to suffer from acne as a grown up person.
Yes, acne is a strange disorder and although scientists have already found out the inner mechanism of acne, they haven’t yet found out its precise causes. Hopefully, acne is one of the most studied health problems: the doctors, researchers and the prestigious skin care companies have joined forces in the battle against acne.
Don’t forget that acne is a disorder, it’s not only grandma’s way of understanding that you’ve become a teenager! And, the most important of all…, acne can be rid of if you really want to!
