Acne Rosacea
Although Acne Rosacea is often confused for Acne Vulgaris, you must know that Acne Rosacea and Acne Vulgaris are two different types of acne.
Acne Rosacea affects many people, as well as the two forms of Acne Vulgaris, but the most important difference between the two types is that most of the people who suffer from Acne Rosacea are over the age of 30; while the people that suffer from Moderate Acne Vulgaris, or even from Severe Acne Vulgaris, are mainly teenagers and young women or men.
Acne Rosacea appears as a red rash on your cheeks, forehead, nose and chin, as these are the most affected areas. Often skin blemishes, pimples and bumps join the redness; your face’s blood vessels may also become more visible on the skin. However, if you suffer from Acne Rosacea, you should know that all these skin symptoms and irritating formations won’t be joined at least by blackheads, as blackheads won’t ever be part of Acne Rosacea.
This type of acne is more likely to appear to women, although some more severe cases have been found in men. Although it sounds redundant, Acne Rosacea, like all the other types of acne, must be treated. If you leave Rosacea untreated, it could cause the swelling of your nose and also the growth of excess tissue, which is a specific condition called rhinophyma.
Sometimes untreated Acne Rosacea causes your skin such an infection that the sufferer’s flushing face could give rise to wrong perceptions of the person being drunk! Although it’s obvious that Acne Rosacea has nothing to do with drinking, it could cause this way many unpleasant situations.
So be careful and examine your face! If you believe that you suffer from Acne Rosace, go see a doctor! The treatment for this type of acne is often somehow different from Acne Vulgaris, that is why it is very important for you to be consulted by a doctor, which is able to determine whether you suffer from Acne Rosacea or not.
