Tip No. 2: Don’t Be too Harsh on You! Don’t Use Harsh Scrubs!

December 2nd, 2007 Posted in Fighting Acne

Theoretically, exfoliating your skin isn’t a bad thing. It is good for your skin to be exfoliated from time to time, because all those dead skin cells that haven’t been able to go away by themselves are this way removed and your skin is able to grow healthy. Removing the dead skin cells is important also when it comes to acne because the clogging of the skin pores could be related to un-removed dead skin cells too.
But, you should pay attention to many things when it comes to skin exfoliation:
- First of all, although it is OK to exfoliate from time to time, you should never exaggerate with this process.
- Secondly, be careful with the scrubbing products you use. Be sure you use a gentle formula with small, smooth grains and avoid products with almond or apricot shell fragments, because they are likely to irritate or even tear your skin and further aggravate your acne.

- Don’t be too harsh! Although you’ll use gentle formula products and although you’ll exfoliate your skin only once a week, there is always a chance to do something wrong when it comes to scrubbing. And this “something” goes with “harsh”.
There is always a chance you will scrub too harsh and this is very, very wrong!
You chose an exfoliating product with a gentle formula, but you too should be gentle to your skin! So, skip harsh scrubs!
